During my studies in Game Design and Development, I developed several games. Below you can find descriptions and downloads!

HOLLANDIA
Description: Hollandia is a 2d action-adventure game inspired by Dutch history and folklore. In this game, you travel around Dutch landscapes and meet colourful character from Dutch folklore, as you use your spinning top to eliminate all enemies and obstacles on your way. The game is completely hand-drawn, and I designed and animated all the characters.

SPIDER
Description: This is a very nice 2d-style platform game, in which you take the role of a little spider. Swing your way through four colorful levels! I made this game with three other classmates during a period of two months. The assignment was to make a game that was “easy to learn, hard to master” and would be enjoyable for at least three minutes. This game is the result, and I recommend to download it and try, because it’s very fun!!
I was responsible for the look of the game. I modelled and animated the characters (animating 8 legs is fun but a lot of work
), designed some of the levels and the backgrounds.

FREON
Description: Freon is a “first person freezer”. In this game you have to escape from a crashed spaceship. You have the ability to freeze your surroundings and thereby change and manipulate your environment in order to find a way out! This game was made as a project for Guerrilla Games. The assignment was to research how a changing and dynamic environment could enhance and renew the first person shooter genre. Freon is a showcase of this! I was responsible for the game and level design, as well as some of the concept artwork.

MEDICAL INVESTIGATORS
Description: During my internship at Little Chicken Game Company I worked on this game, Medical Investigators. This game is meant for high school students to show them how fun science can be: in the game they have to solve a murder by doing all kinds of tests in real life (dna, bullethole angle etc.).
I drew and animated most of the characters.

LUMINESSENCE
Description: Luminessence is a beautiful game! You take the role of a young adventurer who sets out to explore some magical underground caves. It is really dark in there, but luckily you carry a lantarn. With that lantarn you can catch lights that fly around the caves and light your way. There are many creatures you’ll encounter, some of them friendly, but others will steal or eat your light. You can use your lights to lure them away, but also to solve all kinds of puzzles in the caves. Sometimes you need to catch at least three lights to have your radius large enough to see the other side of a chasm for example.
Your ultimate goal is to find the legendary “tree of light”, and the caves are full of hints to find it.We haven’t quite finished this game yet, but we are certainly planning to. It has a really nice atmosphere and it’s fun to play. I designed this game along with three of my friends. I did the concept art for the main character and all the creatures. I modeled and textured the main characters face, as well as most of the caves and props you will find in this game. I really enjoyed this project and can’t wait to actually make a playable version of it!

REDWOOD
Description: This is a demo of a 3d game, made for a schoolproject. The assignment was to make a game for girls, that was set in ahospital. Redwood is all about a young girl that runs her own magical hospital. You have to cure little creatures by collecting and combining medicines.I designed and modeled all the characters for this game. I was also responsible for the overall style (which turned out very “jugendstil like”, with dark borders around all 3d objects). If we had more time, we would have been able to make a playable version of this game. Maybe we will in the future
.

UNDERWATER
Description: Underwater is an “audiogame” I made with 2 of my classmates. An audiogame is a game that consists purely of sound and music. In underwater, you control a little submarine and dive deep into the sea. There you can use your sonar to find and locate treasures.More audiogames can be found on audiogames.net.
